Solution Oriented Youth Africa is a group of young African millenials pioneering the change Africa insistently needs. We are passionate about empowering the 21st Century youth to be problem solvers and solution providers to solve Africa’s challenges with Sanitation & Climate Action, Leadership and Entrepreneurship.

We started making Ghana cleaner by taking out the trash on our coastal areas

Eighteen African countries lose around US$5.5 billion every year due to poor sanitation, with annual economic losses between 1 percent and 2.5 percent of GDP, says a new report by the World Bank’s Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) in 2012.

According to WHO, 2.0 billion people still do not have basic sanitation facilities such as toilets or latrines. Of these, 673 million still defecate in the open, for example in street gutters, behind bushes or into open bodies of water
